Cades Cove, in the Great Smoky Mountains
Cades Cove is an eleven mile loop full of adventures, a must to see. Kids love riding the roads, looking for the sight of a mama black bear & her cubs. Sometimes you can look up in the trees, and you'll behold one taking a nap on a limb. Just give them plenty of birth, and dont go chasin after them with your camera. Respect them, and they will respect you. Look for deer jumping over fences, roaming the meadows, and grazing the green grass. The cove use to be a settlement of young and old. This settlement had stores, houses, livestock, cherry trees and the most beautiful field of flowers anywhere in the south. Its nestled amongst the mountains in valley just forty-five minutes from Gatlinburg, and twenty five from Townsend, Tennessee. There are stories untold, and if you listen closely and close your eyes, you just might hear the whispers of the old settlers tales meandering around your heart & mind.
